New Hysteria

...We have so much to be grateful for in our very short time in this exciting world of music. As youngsters, still at school, we have been most fortunate and blessed with the opportunities and people who have crossed our paths so enthusiastically, imparting words of wisdom, never too busy to show us the “ropes”.
With a long way to go and a lot to learn still...we hope you will all work beside us as we grow our craft.
Thank you firstly to our parents, whose patience and strength levels are undoubtedly tested. To the accomplished musicians –Steve Fataar, Toni Rowland, Nicole Couto-Leite, John Skuy, Ross Tapson, Jason Andrew, Zoe Sturgeon, Counsel and Force, Seb Goldswain : thank you, thank you.
To others who are helping carve our future : Kearsney College –Battle of the Bands, Marshall Music (Hillcrest), Rob van Der Linde, Faces Studio, Kai von Pannier(Grandaxe Music), Harry Lock (Photographer) and our “Mom-ager” at GreenBox , Tanya van Agthoven who works expertly and tirelessly ,carving, guiding and plotting our future and with whom we know we cannot do without – we appreciate everything!
New Hysteria BiographyTeen musos, Pascal Koch, Aury Livingstone and Seth Parkin all younger than 16yrs, may be young in years, but they are fast becoming seasoned musicians. Although friends for years, the music side of it all began at age 11yrs for Aury when he started guitar training and teamed up with Seth to form a two-man band about two years ago. Seth, whose love for singing is never overshadowed by his passion for the drums, developed a huge interest in musical performance. The pair started writing their own songs and recorded an original. It was their one time school music teacher; Richardt Wissink who initially recognized their talent and took the opportunity to create a fully-fledged band, teaming them up with a vocalist and the band Voltage was born. Voltage disbanded after a few months, but undefeated and passionate about their music, the two continued with fresh hopes and an eagle eye for any opportunities and just the right talent to join their band. They found the perfect match in another Westville Boys’ High musical talent; Pascal Koch (bass and vocals) adds a “tidy wrapping up” to this tight outfit.
"Music is something we love that never ties us down. When you have an opportunity in life, take it. That is what we are doing. Being part of a good team, having a great connection with someone who shares the same passion you do is awesome and more rewarding than you imagine," they say. New Hysteria have been performing on some of Durban’s great stages and venues ,sharing the billing with the likes of Steve Fataar, Toni Rowland, Ross Tapson ,Tammy Saville and Blue Avenue, Counsel and Force to name a few and their list of corporate and private functions continues to growing fast. The band launched their first track “Commercial living” at a special event, which took place at WESTVILLE BOYS HIGH SCHOOL on 12 March along with guest artists Counsel and Force, Zoe Sturgeon and Sebastian Goldswain. Single-track demos of this song will be available on sale at SPLASHY FEN. New Hysteria also plans to go back into studio to record new tracks within the next few months. Under the experienced eye and guidance of veteran in the music business , GreenBox Productions & Artist Management , the band have seen a steady growth in popularity and fan base and as Manager Tanya van Agthoven Marais says ,“They are the short people with the tall sounds.” |

Toni has just released her new music video for the song “I’ll Be Here Waiting”,which was filmed in South Africa and Spain. Toni has recently toured South Africa with Dilana f Rockstar Supernova fame to sell out audiences. Toni is also a spokeperson for the PinkDrive Breast Cancer campaign in South Africa.
